The Strategy sets out how the local authority intends to support schools and early years settings in improving access for learners with disabilities to all school activities. It addresses the three strands within the planning requirements of the Special Educational Needs and Disability Act (2001) for improved access to:
- the curriculum
- the physical environment
- written information
The Accessibility Strategy (2006-2009) is attached below, with action plans updated in December 2007.
