The system on the WSGfL that supports both the advert placement facility used by schools and the job search facility for candidates had become outdated and unreliable over recent months. It was therefore necessary for both these facilities to be upgraded to run on a more stable platform.
The new application was launched on Monday 25th February.
Inevitably, with changes of this nature, there will be some teething problems and we are working hard to iron these out as quickly as we can as the new system beds in.
The new system is the same as that used on the WSCC website and this has proved to be a popular and easy to use tool with candidates and once these early teething problems are resolved will hopefully have a reliable and user-friendly system that meets both the needs of schools as well as candidates.
