Chichester Cathedral is a superb place to visit. As the Mother Church, it is the religious centre of the Diocese of Chichester covering the whole of Sussex. You can experience the wonderful atmosphere and see the treasures within.
Through our interactive website you can tour the Cathedral, experience part of a service, hear from some people who work there, and browse through images of the beautiful art and architecture. See the Resources section below.
You can find out about workshops provided by the Cathedral Education Office and see how one school - Turners Hill CE Primary School - planned and organised their own pilgrimage to the Cathedral. We hope that you will use the materials we have made available to stimulate further interesting work in schools and that you will send us examples of your students work, so that we can add them to the site.
This project has been brought to you by the ICT Strategy & Initiatives team in the Children & Young People's Services. We have worked alongside the Cathedral Education Office and Turner's Hill Primary School.
Some of the resources in this section make use of QuickTime. If you do not have QuickTime 5 (or better) you can download it from the Apple website, click here. The photographic work and videos were produced by Mike Matson
