Integrated Services Delivery Programme

For most children and young people as they journey through life their needs will be met through the range of universal services we provide – services which are available for all children, young people and their families. At any time in their lives, however, additional health, welfare or learning needs can arise which may require more support, and from more than one service to meet them.

The fundamental aim of the Integrated Services Delivery Programme (ISDP) is to improve outcomes for children and young people by providing them with access to the right service in the right place, at the right time. To facilitate this, 8 Integrated Services Delivery Areas, each with a multi-disciplinary team under a single management structure, are being set up to deliver a “core” of services locally. Service providers are being co-located where possible, and integrated working is supported by new processes and tools, including the Common Assessment Framework, Budget Holding Lead Professional, Lead Professional and multi-agency professional development.

An access point in each area ensures that service providers, families and young people know where to go to access the full range of support.
On April 16th 2007, the ISDP Test Bed areas were launched in Arun East, Arun West and Mid-Sussex. In October and November 2007 all 8 ISDAs began to operate.
