Opportunities for seeing water in the West Sussex landscape are plentiful. However population increases, development in the South East and the effects of climate change mean that it is an increasingly precious resource. Schools can play an important part in raising awareness of the value of water and there are plenty of local resources to support teachers.

In West Sussex there are many Environmental Education Centres that run programmes throughout the year. Some of these organisations have an outreach team that can visit your school.
