The Early Years is an exciting place to be in the 21st Century! The Birth to Three Matters Framework, the Foundation Stage Curriculum Guidance and the Foundation Stage Profile have brought the Early Years into sharp focus at last. In addition to this, 2007 will see the introduction of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework - for full implementation in September 2008.
Learning and teaching creatively (and the provision of a vibrant and stimulating indoor/outdoor learning environment) lays the foundations on which children build the rest of their lives - and where a lifelong love of learning can be established.
Everyone's comments, questions or 'great finds' are welcome - we need to create a rich tapestry of all that's good in Early Years! As the artist Paul Klee said 'Childhood is a dream, where EVERYTHING is possible.'
