Trail Guide
Bury is a pleasant rural area, which can be used to teach local studies as part of geography and history to key stages 1 and 2.
It is a requirement of the National Curriculum for geography at key stage 2 that pupils study a contrasting local environment. This work produced by Bury school highlights the geographical and historical features of this rural area and provides several points of contrast with more urban areas of the County and beyond.
Bury School is a beacon school and welcomes visiting teachers and children. As part of the roles of a beacon school we have produced this trail guide to help teachers and pupils to explore the area around the school and have fun learning how the landscape has evolved over time.
