A group of school and LA colleagues is working to update the ICT vision for the West Sussex education community. This will take account of developments in our expectation of what pupils should and can do, new initiatives such as the West Sussex e-learning Strategy, and advances in technology.
The vision is likely to be structured around key issues which all of us engaged in ICT planning at school or wider levels will need to consider:
- a comprehensive view of what ICT includes, and strategies for managing its development
- ICT for learning and teaching, and how leadership of this should work
- ICT for information management in support of whole school issues
- professional development for users of ICT
- resources, infrastructure and services
- evaluating impact - how well is it working?
