This is a scheme of work that addresses the issue of mixed-age classes, but applies equally to horizontal grouping. It
also caters for differentiation in a horizontally grouped class.
The scheme offers practical suggestions as to:
- what a term might look like;
- what a lesson might look like
- what a topic pack might look like;
- what the overall plan might be from Year 3 to Year 6;
- how to present new vocabulary;
- useful games to support language learning;
- how to make links with numeracy;
