The many off-site activities arranged by our schools, colleges and youth centres form an important part of the educational programme for young people in West Sussex. The full spectrum of outdoor education activities offer exciting and motivating opportunities, able to raise achievement in children and young people of all abilities. In particular, they are able to stimulate and reinforce a positive attitude towards education. The success of off-site activities depends on the quality of leadership and the way in which eduational establishments help young people to develop responsible attitudes to the environment and to each other.
