The main aim for School Sport Partnerships is to increase sports opportunities for all children and young people.
Structure
Each partnership includes a specialist sports college (or hub school), partner secondary
schools and feeder primary and special schools.
Roles within the partnerships
- The Partnership Development Manager (PDM) is responsible for the strategic development of the partnership and liaison with other agencies.
- The School Sport Co-ordinator (SSCo), who is based in a secondary school, is responsible for the co-ordination and development of school sport in their own school and family group of primary/special schools.
- The Primary Link Teacher (PLT), is responsible for the development and delivery of high quality PE and school sport in their own school.
