Educational Visits

St Richard at Chichester Cathedral

As you will see from the Educational Programme provided by the Cathedral, there are many organised visits and workshops available for schools. The Education Officer, Mrs Marilyn McInnes, will be happy to discuss your requirements for a visit with you. She can be contacted on 01243 812497 or by email.

Mrs McInnes will be able to tell you about the available courses and will tailor them to meet the needs of the age group, and the abilities and interest of your students. She would also be happy to hear from you if you have a special interest that you would like to follow up. She is well aware of the requirements of the National Curriculum, and of the West Sussex Agreed Syllabus for RE and will take these into account.

In this section we have provided examples of some of the background material available for pupils and teachers. Among the most popular visits for pupils are tours of the Cathedral, drama workshops on medieval pilgrimages, and Norman Cathedral workshops.

All the text documents in this section can be downloaded from the site, or obtained from the Cathedral’s Education Office.
