Wave 3

Wave 3 is a selection of specific targeted approaches for pupils identified as requiring SEN intervention at School Action and School Action Plus or with a Statement of SEN. These children may have needs associated with literacy, mathematics or other barriers to learning. The aim is to enable greater access to the Waves 1 and 2 of intervention and decrease gaps in attainment. Wave 3 may involve the modification of support, learning objectives and teaching styles.
