The West Sussex Parent Partnership Service provides impartial advice and information to parents and carers of children
who have special educational needs.
We provide information on the special educational needs process, statutory
assessments and statements, annual reviews, appeals and tribunals.
We aim to help parents communicate with schools
and the Local Authority by:
- being available to listen to parents who have concerns about their child’s special educational needs
- putting parents in touch with a parental supporter, who can assist them throughout the statutory assessment process or at meetings
- making sure that clear information is always available
We can also put parents in touch with local or national support groups or organisations dealing with the particular special
need their child has, for further information support and advice.
