on developing extended services within your community.
West Sussex County Council aims to promote an environment
where all schools are supported to develop their role as centres of lifelong learning and key contributors to improving services
for children through working in partnership with others to provide access to a range of activities and services often beyond
the school day, to help meet the needs of it's pupils, their families and the wider community.
An extended school
is at the heart of the agenda to transform services for children, families and local communities. They are part of government’s
change for children programme designed to improve the five outcomes for children outlined in Every Child Matters and supported
by The Children Act 2004.
