These spreadsheets are designed to support school leaders to map out attainment over an academic year. This engages colleagues,
from all year groups, in a professional dialogue about pupil progress, groupings, expectations and appropriate use of interventions.
They should be used in conjunction with other data, such as your RAISEonline, ePODs, and Fischer Family Trust, and your knowledge
of the individual child, to establish accurate expectations based on prior attainment and national benchmarks. It is important
to note possible reasons for under-performance such as a child's acquisition of English or their attendance and take this
into account when planning appropriate interventions or setting realistic expectations.
In West Sussex we have
worked to improve the Primary National Strategy tool in response to requests from schools. We have added:
- sheets for Year 1 and Year 7
- clearer titles
- colour coding that shows how the % are calculated
- boxes containing the % of pupils who are on track in the autumn and spring terms
The Pupil tracking sheets below contain sheets for Y1 to Y7. For larger schools, who may wish to capture 3 or more classes
per year group, the year group specific files may be more useful, and these are located in the relevant folders below.
There is also a simple guidance document to help you understand how best to use the spreadsheets.
