The West Sussex Leadership Development Strategy for Schools and Settings has been established to:
- develop a shared vision within the Authority for the future direction of effective and sustainable school, setting and system leadership and governance;
- promote positive role models of leadership;
- establish an appropriate and coherent programme of leadership development opportunities, from nurturing early talent to making the most of our experienced leaders, both within the Authority and within schools and groups of schools;
- ensure a sufficient quantity of engaged and talented leaders and governors to fill vacancies as they arise.
