The Education Research and Information Unit (ERIU) is situated within the Resources Service area. Key areas of responsibility include strategic information management, research and analyses across a wide range of local authority priorities.
The Unit undertakes the collection, processing and analyses of data required to support local authority strategies and initiatives. In addition the Unit is responsible for ensuring the local authority fulfils its statutory duties relating to a range of information returns to central government and other agencies.
