The Central Education Database (CED) contains child-related data that supports the many and varied activities, business processes
and key strategic priorities, both local and national that relate to children.
Procured in 2003, the CED has been
identified as a major strategic priority for the County Council.
Still growing rapidly in terms of size
and use, the CED will, in time, contain all data that is common to the wide and varied activities in support of children.
Individual applications will be able to access and integrate with the core data ensuring consistency and accuracy of information
and facilitating the sharing of information across various teams, departments and outside agencies who might be involved with
individuals for whatever reason.
