Transfer and Transition

Transfer and Transition

In order to be effective in supporting children/students as they move into and through the school system schools need to address the continuity of their learning experience.

A definition of continuity is: "that one experience of worth should follow  another in a sequence of meaningful learning". Dewey, J. 1938

This website provides examples of good practice, local, national and international that aspire to this ideal.  It also contains links to materials and resources to support schools in considering their childrens'/students experiences of continuity.
