Services for Childminders

A registered childminder is a self-employed day care provider who works from his/her own home caring for children under the age of eight. Anyone offering to look after children who are not their close relatives must be registered by Ofsted under the Children Act 1989 and will be inspected on an annual basis. Registered childminders are issued with a Certificate of Registration that sets out the conditions which apply.

If you are a childminder, the Children's Information Service (CIS) provides services for you!
